Consolidation Team Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure strong understanding and governance of end-to-end accounting processes, including journal entries, with a focus on accuracy and completeness. Journal entries encompass daily, monthly and quarterly activity around cash, investments, and intangible assets amongst other financial statement line items.
• Oversee and review financial statement preparation and related disclosures for Blackstone Incs quarterly financial close, ensuring adherence to defined processes, timelines, and quality standards.
• Manage intercompany reconciliation process and consolidation-related checks, including identification, review, tracking, and closure of breaks in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee and review team deliverables around regulatory reporting, ensuring high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance with established processes.
• Monitor and investigate variances, ensuring root cause analysis and timely resolution.
• Drive effective communication with clients and cross-functional teams to resolve breaks in a timely and structured manner.
• Identify process gaps and drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
• Establish and strengthen process documentation, SOPs, and checklists to ensure consistency and minimize key person dependency.
• Track and manage process KPIs (timeliness, accuracy, etc.) and ensure adherence to SLAs.
• Lead and develop the team, ensuring effective workload management, knowledge sharing, and capability building.
