Computer Aided Design Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a CAD Designer who can develop commercially viable jewellery designs for the B2C market. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in jewellery CAD modelling, designing, rendering, manufacturing feasibility, and product costing, with an understanding of customer-driven design trends. Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D CAD models for rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and other fine jewellery.
• Develop cost-centric designs while maintaining aesthetics and brand standards.
• Coordinate with the costing and production teams to ensure manufacturing feasibility.
• Prepare high-quality renders for product approval and marketing use.
• Optimise designs for metal weight, gemstone setting, and production efficiency.
• Work closely with the design team on new collections and trend-based product development.
• Modify existing designs based on customer requirements or production feedback.
• Maintain accurate CAD files and design documentation.
• Produce high-quality renders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Rhino / Matrix / MatrixGold / JewelCAD.
• Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of product costing and metal weight optimisation.
• Expertise in realistic rendering (KeyShot, V-Ray, or equivalent).
• Good sense of proportion, aesthetics, and gemstone placement.
• Ability to create designs suitable for the B2C retail market.

Preferred Profile

• 3–5 years of experience in fine jewellery CAD design.
• Experience working with gemstone jewellery collections.
• Understanding of commercial jewellery trends and customer preferences.
• Strong coordination skills with production and merchandising teams.
• oduct design, mechanical design, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in the jewelry or luxury goods industry is an advantage.
