Compliance Supervisor/Assistant Manager

Job Summary

To maintain proper compliance procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and corporate policies and procedures. To ensure prompt response to Audit team and relevant notices from government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Statutory payments Monthly statutory payments like TDS, TCS, RCM, ITC - GST input/Output, PF, PT, ESIC, VAT, GST Compliance, Taxation, etc. , have to be checked and payment to be processed before the due date. Reconciliation has to be maintained and approved by the DOF/ADOF on a monthly basis.
• License File the Licenses certificate file has to be maintained and renewed before the due date.
• Attend all queries related to the compliance issue and respond within 24 hours.
• Vendor Payment and Reconciliation including MSME Vendor payment.
• All the AMC contracts are drafted as per the local and Four Seasons policy and procedure.
• Develop and implement compliance programs. This includes creating policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct audits and monitoring Regularly assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify and mitigate risks
• Assess potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them.
• Provide guidance and training Educate employees on compliance requirements and provide guidance on related matters
• Collaborate with stakeholders Work with various departments, including legal and HR, to ensure compliance across the organization
• Report on compliance Prepare and present reports to senior management and external regulatory bodies.
• Developing and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures and risk assessment frameworks, to ensure effective tax management.
• Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other direct or indirect taxes.
• Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accurately per national tax compliance.
• Identifying, tracking and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutions.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting is required.
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is required.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language is preferred.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of all corporate policies and procedures.
• Must have in-detail working knowledge on Statutory compliances (Licenses, GST, TDS, Compliance, Taxation, Labour Law, Excise, S&E, Contracts etc. )
• Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office Suite software, Opera, and F&B POS systems is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English is preferred
