Brief Description about the role:

We are looking to hire a Competitor Insights Analyst to work from our India office supporting the Global Team. This role requires strong self-motivation in conjunction with an analytical approach to data collection and problem solving. The duties and responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and may change to meet evolving business needs

Role & responsibilities

Essential:

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent research skills, with the ability to analyse websites, brochures, and specification sheets to identify feature equivalencies and competitive comparisons.
• Strong influencing and communication skills to gather, analyse, and deliver high-quality market intelligence.
• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the automotive industry.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and manipulation.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with experience working across functions and with external vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Engineering background preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and external partners.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the automotive industry, gained through experience or training in product research, market research, automotive OEMs, importers, dealerships, or leasing companies.
• Working knowledge of SQL, database queries, and scripting would be advantageous.
• Experience or knowledge of software functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is desirable.
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, dashboards, and Python.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work with pace, energy, and confidence.
• Ability to challenge conventional thinking constructively while building credibility and trust through expertise and professional approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively with diverse stakeholders

Preferred candidate profile

• Must be a team player. The job requires interfacing with people globally and this requires good relationship management
• Keen interest to learn more and expand knowledge base
