Community & Growth Intern

Cineswipe is a movie & TV discovery platform built to help people figure out what to watch next, based on their taste, not just what a streaming platform happens to recommend.

We're looking for a Community & Growth Intern to help us build the Cineswipe community and turn our marketing experiments into actual growth.

This is an execution-heavy role. You won't just be making marketing plans or sitting in meetings, you'll be posting, experimenting, talking to users, running campaigns, finding communities, and figuring out what actually works.

What you'll do

• Own and maintain the Cineswipe Discord community
• Keep the community active through conversations, activities, discussions and events
• Run our daily Cineswipe Pro code drops and community campaigns
• Create hype and engagement around campaigns before, during and after they go live
• Find relevant communities on Reddit, Discord, Facebook, X and other platforms where Cineswipe can genuinely add value
• Experiment with different organic growth ideas to bring new users to Cineswipe
• Help run referral, reward, engagement and community campaigns
• Talk to users, understand what they like/dislike, and bring those insights back to the team
• Work with the social/content team to turn community conversations and trends into content ideas
• Track basic growth metrics such as community growth, engagement, campaign participation, redemptions and user acquisition
• Come up with new experiments and actually execute them
• Help with other marketing/growth initiatives as Cineswipe launches new features and campaigns

What we're looking for

You don't need previous marketing experience.

We care more about whether you:

• Spend way too much time on the internet and know how online communities work
• Love movies, TV shows, streaming platforms and internet culture
• Are comfortable posting, commenting, messaging and starting conversations
• Can come up with ideas and, more importantly, actually execute them
• Are curious about why people use or don't use a product
• Are willing to experiment, fail, learn and try again
• Can work independently without needing someone to tell you what to do every day
• Have good communication skills
• Can dedicate consistent time every week
  

Bonus points

• You actively use Reddit, Discord, X, Instagram or similar communities
• You have experience running a Discord/community
• You understand memes, trends and internet culture
• You have done any kind of content creation
• You know basic analytics or growth metrics
• You have previously grown a page, community, project or online audience
