Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Monitor and control operational costs, margins, pricing, and profitability.
• Manage commercial budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Review supplier quotations, contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
• Oversee purchasing activities and ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive prices and favourable payment terms.
• Monitor inventory, stock movements, purchasing costs, and consumption.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Stores, and Management teams.
• Analyse commercial and operational data and provide management with actionable recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Ensure proper controls over purchasing, inventory, expenses, and supplier payments.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong business relationships.
• Prepare regular commercial reports, budgets, forecasts, and management analyses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support management in strategic business and investment decisions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Commercial Management, Finance, Cost Control, Procurement, or Business Operations.
• Proven experience in Manufacturing or process plant is highly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to control costs, improve profitability, and support business growth.
• Practical knowledge of purchasing, procurement, supplier management, and price negotiations is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience managing and negotiating with suppliers and service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert business data into actionable decisions.
• Good understanding of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Finance, Procurement, Stores, Operations, and Senior Management.
• Highly organized, commercially minded, proactive, and results-oriented.
• High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Experience in the mining or natural resources sector will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the AFRICA COUNTRY will be an added advantage.
