Role Cognos Administrator

Experience 4-6 Years

Location As per project requirement

Support Model 24x7 L2 Support

Key Responsibilities

Install configure administer and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics 10x11x environments

Monitor Cognos services report execution jobs schedules and overall platform health

Perform upgrades patches migrations and environment refresh activities

Manage Cognos security authentication user access roles and permissions

Administer Cognos Connection Framework Manager Content Store and Report Studio environments

Troubleshoot application performance and infrastructurerelated issues

Coordinate with infrastructure database network and application teams for issue resolution

Perform backup recovery and disaster recovery activities

Support change incident problem and release management processes

Maintain operational documentation SOPs and knowledge articles

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of IBM Cognos Analytics Cognos Connection Framework Manager and Report Studio

Experience with Cognos installation configuration upgrades and migrations

Understanding of WebSphereTomcat and Cognos architecture

Knowledge of WindowsLinux administration

Experience with relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server DB2 or Netezza

Familiarity with security configuration LDAPActive Directory integration and scheduling

Basic scripting skills ShellPowerShell preferred

Preferred Skills

Experience with high availability and disaster recovery configurations

Exposure to ITIL processes Incident Change Problem Management

Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity management

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Primary Focus Platform administration production support monitoring performance tuning security management and ensuring high availability of the Cognos environment
