Coating Operator

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation: Cleaning and preparing the surface to be coated, ensuring it is free from dirt, oil, and other contaminants.

Coating Application: Applying coatings or paints using different techniques, such as brushing, rolling, spraying, or dipping, depending on the specific requirements of the project.

Equipment Operation: Operating various coating equipment, including spraying booths, mixers, and pumps, to ensure efficient and safe coating processes.

Quality Control: Inspecting the coated surface to ensure it meets the required standards, checking for defects, and taking corrective action if necessary.

Safety: Maintaining a safe working environment, following safety protocols, and adhering to regulatory requirements, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of coating applications, including the type of coating, application method, and any issues encountered.

Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on coating equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

Communication: Collaborating with other teams, such as production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth coating operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
