CNC / VMC Programmer (Fanuc | 4-Axis VMC | CAD/CAM)

About the Client:

The hiring company is a premier engineering firm specializing in the design and manufacture of high-precision engineered products (Dry Break Couplings, Breakaway Couplings, Swivel Joints) serving the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Pharmaceutical sectors globally.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC/VMC Programmer to lead and take ownership of the coupling manufacturing process. The position covers complete machining workflowfrom programming through to finished precision parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write, optimize, and edit manual G-code and M-code programs for CNC turning (2-axis) and VMC (4-axis) machines.
• Develop and execute machining processes for new and existing product designs in close coordination with machine operators.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and work-holding setups to optimize cycle times.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, applying GD&T principles to achieve tight tolerances.
• Guide, train, and support machine operators on setup, offset adjustments, and shop-floor discipline.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.).
• Maintain process sheets, job documentation, and quality records.

Candidate Profile / Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering, or ITI with strong relevant machining experience.
• Experience: Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in CNC and VMC programming and machining.
• Controller: Thorough proficiency with Fanuc controller systems.
• Software: Hands-on working knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX CAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection using bore gauges and micrometers.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in high-precision engineering components.
