CNC Sheet Laser Programmer

Prarthna Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Sheet Laser Programmer to join our manufacturing facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for a 3KW laser cutting machine, ensuring precise sheet metal fabrication with minimal wastage.

Role & responsibilities

• CNC Programming & Operation: Develop, edit, and execute efficient CNC programs for a 3KW laser cutting machine. Translate engineering blueprints and technical drawings into precise machine code.
• Nesting & Material Optimization: Perform 2D CAD nesting to maximize material utilization, systematically reducing scrap, cycle times, and raw sheet metal wastage.
• Parameter Calibration: Set up and fine-tune critical laser cutting parameters (speed, power, gas pressure, and focal length) according to material thickness and type.
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee flawless production output by securing first-piece component approvals and carrying out continuous dimensions checks using standard quality inspection tools.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic mechanical/programming troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine uptime and performance.
• Manpower & Production Management: Coordinate floor operations by assigning tasks to machine operators, guiding the team on drawing interpretations, and tracking daily production logs.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively enforce workshop safety protocols, 5S workplace organization, Kaizen initiatives, and lean manufacturing standards to improve efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 12 years of hands-on experience in CNC laser programming and operating environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and specialized laser nesting software.
• Advanced capability to interpret complex engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Comprehensive understanding of sheet metal properties and thermal cutting dynamics.
