Cnc Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Skill Areas

1. Mechanical Installation:
   
• Machine leveling, geometric alignment, and complete mechanical assembly.
• Mounting chucks, turrets, tool blocks, tailstocks, and related machine accessories.
2. Electrical Installation:
   
• Panel wiring checks, cable routing, and control system interconnections.
• Understanding and working with drives, servo motors, encoders, sensors, and electrical interlocks.
3. CNC Commissioning:
   
• CNC parameter setup, axis referencing, and spindle/turret calibration.
• Basic PLC and CNC diagnostics across major controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, or equivalent systems.
4. Workpiece Proving (Job Prove-Out):
   
• Tool setup, offset setting, and G-code/M-code program loading.
• Conducting trial cuts, verifying dimensional accuracy, and optimizing cycle times.
5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
   
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control system faults.
6. Customer Support & Documentation:
   
• Training machine operators on daily operation and preventive maintenance.
• Preparing field installation reports, service logs, and completion certificates.
7. Soft Skills:
   
• Customer communication, structured problem-solving, safety compliance, and time management.
