Role: CNC Operator

Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai

Experience: 3 to 7 years

Education: Diploma only (Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die or equivalent)

Shift: Rotational shifts

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC machines, produce components to drawing specifications, and maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis) to produce parts as per drawings.
• Read and interpret 2D drawings; working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Handle machines running Emeegi machine
• Set tool offsets and work offsets; apply correct speed and feed parameters.
• Use simulation to verify programs before running them on the machine.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, and measuring tape.
• Carry out machine operation for both AM and PM shifts, and hand over shift status properly.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow safety guidelines, 5S practices, and quality procedures.

Required Skills:

• CNC operation experience on 3-axis and 5-axis machines
• AutoCAD 2D
• Worked on simulation
• Basic knowledge of tool speed, feed, offsets, and axes
• Proficiency with measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, measuring tape)
• Hands-on knowledge of previously handled machines
• Tools change knowledge on Drill bit and Milling bit
