Job Description Intern, CNC Milling Operator (Fresher)

Role Purpose
Gain practical experience in CNC milling operations for aerospace components under the supervision of trained operators and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn CNC milling machine functions, controls, and operating procedures.
• Assist with component loading, unloading, clamping, and fixture preparation.
• Support cutting tool identification, preparation, and tool changes under supervision.
• Learn to read engineering drawings and understand basic dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist with machining operations using approved programs and work instructions.
• Check component dimensions using measuring instruments after training.
• Record production quantities, cycle times, and inspection results as instructed.
• Report abnormal machine sounds, tool damage, defects, or alarms immediately.
• Follow machine safety, PPE, 5S, FOD prevention, and component handling requirements.
• Perform assigned daily machine care and housekeeping activities.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of machining processes and mechanical fundamentals.
• Interest in CNC machines, cutting tools, and precision manufacturing.
• Attention to detail, discipline, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with the production team.
• Willingness to work on the shopfloor and in assigned shifts.

Training & Safety Requirements

• Operate machines only after training and authorization, under designated supervision.
• Make program, tool offset, or setup changes only with supervisor approval.
• Follow safe procedures for chip removal, cleaning, and machine stoppages.
