Cnc Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC turning, VMC and other machining equipment.
2. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults in CNC machines.
3. Diagnose CNC control system alarms and faults in Fanuc, Siemens or other CNC controllers.
4. Maintain and troubleshoot servo motors, spindle motors, drives, encoders, sensors.
5. Attend machine breakdowns promptly and minimize production downtime.
6. Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, checklists and equipment history records.
7. Monitor machine performance, identify recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
8. Coordinate with production teams to ensure machine availability and improve equipment efficiency.
9. Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers and service engineers when required.
10. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout.
11. Support installation, commissioning, machine shifting and calibration activities.
12. Analyze breakdown data and implement continuous improvement measures to improve machine reliability.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-7 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• CNC machine troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens CNC controls.
• Electrical panel, PLC, servo drive and spindle drive troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Preventive maintenance and breakdown analysis.
• Problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
