Cnc Machine Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Operate CNC Laser Cutting Machine for cutting sheet metal components as per approved programs.
• Set machine parameters according to material type, thickness, and cutting requirements.
• Handle sheet loading, positioning, and machine setup.
• Select and maintain appropriate nozzle, focus, and cutting conditions.
• Monitor laser cutting quality, cutting speed, and machine performance during operation.
• Identify and correct issues such as burr formation, incomplete cutting, slag, and poor edge quality.
• Ensure proper part identification and segregation after cutting.
• Optimize sheet utilization and nesting to reduce material scrap.
• Carry out routine machine checks and coordinate with the maintenance team for technical issues.
• Maintain daily production and machine records.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Sheet Metal, Production, or related trade.
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal cutting.
• Knowledge of laser cutting parameters and machine operation.
• Experience with MS/CRCA, GI, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium sheets.
• Basic understanding of CNC programs and nesting layouts.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic laser cutting quality issues.
