About the Role
As a CloudOps Engineer II, you will help build, operate, and improve secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to automate infrastructure, support deployments, strengthen observability, troubleshoot production issues, and reduce operational toil.
Shift requirement: This role requires participation in a rotating shift schedule within a four-person group, covering both day and night shifts. Candidates must be willing and able to work both shifts as scheduled.
What Youll Do

• Design, provision, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and other automation practices.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, frequent software delivery.
• Administer and troubleshoot systems across development, staging, and production environments.
• Create Python or Bash automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
• Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to support system health and rapid incident detection.
• Respond to production incidents, contribute to root-cause analysis, and drive follow-up remediation.
• Review cloud resources for security, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Partner with engineering and security teams on deployments, capacity planning, and infrastructure design.
• Maintain clear runbooks, operational procedures, and infrastructure documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong practical experience working with the AWS Cloud.
• Practical systems troubleshooting skills, with a working understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Proficiency in automation or scripting; Python is preferred, and Bash experience is valuable.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and monitoring or observability platforms; experience with GitLab CI/CD is preferred.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and cloud operations practices.
• Ability to work calmly through production issues, collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and continuously learn and adopt new technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS, Kubernetes, or Amazon EKS.
• Exposure to cloud security, secrets management, vulnerability management, or compliance practices.
• Familiarity with AWS cost optimization or FinOps principles.
• Relevant AWS certification or experience in a consumer-facing technology company.
• Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve day-to-day productivity.
