Cloud Linux Security Engineer - Azure

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud & Linux Security Engineer responsible for administering, securing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and Linux server environments.

The role will work closely with the Infrastructure, DevOps, Application, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure Azure workloads and Linux systems are securely configured, patched, monitored, and protected against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in Azure infrastructure, Linux administration, cloud security controls, vulnerability remediation, identity and access management, network security, logging/monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5 - 8 years of relevant infrastructure/cloud administration experience, with practical exposure to Microsoft Azure and Linux.
• Hands-on experience administering production Linux servers.
• Practical experience securing and troubleshooting Azure environments.
• Understanding of vulnerability and patch management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall rules, and network segmentation.
• Experience working with enterprise cybersecurity teams and security tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE or equivalent Linux certification
• CompTIA Security+ desirable
• Microsoft security certifications beneficial
