Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture, GitOps, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Security, DevSecOps, and Containerization technologies. This role will drive cloud transformation initiatives, establish architecture standards, and ensure scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments across business-critical applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering

• Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
• Define cloud adoption strategies, landing zones, governance frameworks, and operational best practices.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud architectures.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to AWS.
• Establish reference architectures and cloud engineering standards.

AWS Infrastructure Management

• Architect and manage AWS services including:
• VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53
• EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
• S3, EFS, FSx
• RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora
• CloudFront, API Gateway
• CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config
• IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager

GitOps & Infrastructure as Code

• Establish GitOps-driven deployment models using:
• ArgoCD
• FluxCD
• GitHub Actions
• GitLab CI/CD
• Jenkins
• AWS CloudFormation
• Terragrunt
• Ansible
• Build automated provisioning and deployment frameworks.

Containerization & Kubernetes

• Architect container platforms using:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Amazon EKS

Cloud Security & Compliance

• Define and enforce cloud security architecture and controls.
• Implement DevSecOps practices across CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure:
• AWS Security Hub
• GuardDuty
• WAF
• Inspector
• Macie

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical leadership to cloud engineering teams.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and DevOps professionals.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Lead architecture reviews and cloud governance councils.

Mandatory Skills and Qualification

• 10-20 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 7+ years in Cloud Architecture and Platform Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years designing and managing AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale containerized platforms and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
