Role Description This is a full-time remote Cloud Engineer role. The Cloud Engineer will design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support AI Vidya’s training platforms and internal systems. Responsibilities include implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions, managing Linux-based servers, configuring and monitoring databases, and optimizing performance and reliability across environments. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to deploy applications, automate workflows, and improve CI/CD pipelines. The Cloud Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, implement best practices for security and cost optimization, and contribute to documentation and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Proficiency in Linux administration and systems management, including monitoring, security hardening, and automation using shell scripting or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including configuration, performance tuning, backup strategies, and high availability.
- Software Development skills with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, firewalls) and cloud security best practices.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and prior exposure to AI or data platforms is a plus.
