Lead Cloud Engineer (AWS Migration / Pod Lead)

Employment Type: Perm Role About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Lead Cloud Engineer (AWS Migration / Pod Lead) to lead large-scale enterprise AWS migration initiatives. This role is responsible for driving cloud architecture, migration strategy, governance, and technical delivery while providing leadership to engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, migration best practices, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise networking. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end AWS migration planning and execution for enterprise workloads.
- Design and implement AWS Landing Zones, multi-account architectures, and governance frameworks.
- Define migration strategies, including Rehost, Replatform, and Refactor approaches.
- Oversee migration waves, cutovers, risk management, and post-migration optimization.
- Architect secure, scalable, and highly available AWS solutions aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Implement security, compliance, IAM, SCPs, logging, and governance best practices.
- Review and approve cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and technical designs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance across engineering pods.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex cloud infrastructure and migration challenges.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Proven experience leading large-scale AWS migration programs.
- Strong expertise with AWS services, architecture, and enterprise cloud design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zones, and multi-account environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity.
- Strong understanding of AWS security, including IAM, SCPs, CloudTrail, Config, and GuardDuty.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Required Certification
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Mandatory) Preferred Qualifications
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS SysOps Administrator certification.
- Experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Python, Bash, or automation scripting.
- Experience with enterprise governance, compliance, and cloud security frameworks.
