The Opportunity As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the hands-on Google Cloud labs used by learners across the globe. You'll combine cloud engineering, quality assurance, and automation to ensure every lab delivers a seamless learning experience. What You'll Be Doing
- Perform quality assurance testing on Google Cloud labs to ensure functionality, accuracy, and an excellent learner experience.
- Test, troubleshoot, and validate cloud environments before they are released to learners.
- Update lab guides and instructional content to reflect changes in Google Cloud services, user interfaces, and CLI commands.
- Investigate and resolve issues reported through Buganizer, including lab failures, infrastructure issues, and command inconsistencies.
- Monitor changes across Google Cloud products and proactively implement updates to affected learning content.
- Maintain and debug Terraform configurations and shell scripts used to provision cloud resources.
- Contribute to the development of scalable, reliable, and reusable cloud infrastructure for learning environments.
- Help ensure our cloud labs remain aligned with Google Cloud best practices and evolving technologies.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1+ years' experience working as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform services and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience using the Google Cloud Console and Cloud SDK (gcloud CLI).
- Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Experience with Bash or other shell scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Git and modern version control practices.
- Experience troubleshooting cloud environments and resolving technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
