Cloud Data Migration Engineer

Role: Your Impact and Ownership Propel is looking for a

Data Migration Engineer with experience in

database technologies, scripting, and cloud data migrations . The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end migration projects, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, and migration execution, while collaborating closely with customers to deliver accurate, scalable, and efficient migration solutions.

• Lead end-to-end data mapping and migration across client implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Serve as a technical SME for data imports into Salesforce, Propel, and integrated systems.
• Analyze source systems, define data mapping and transformation rules, and execute migrations.
• Develop migration scripts, perform data cleansing, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams throughout the migration process.
• Maintain project documentation, status updates, and migration records.

• 5+ years of experience in end-to-end data migration, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, validation, and cloud migrations.
• Strong expertise in SQL, databases (SQL Server/Oracle), ETL tools, CSV/Excel, and data quality management.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, and familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3).
• Good understanding of data modeling, application design, and data security during cloud migrations.
• Experience with Salesforce (Apex, SOQL, Data Loader, Bulk APIs) is an advantage.
• Strong project management, stakeholder communication, and documentation skills.
