Cloud Administrator

Key Accountabilities

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator / Cloud Engineer with 45 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration, automation, containerization, monitoring, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with secure or air-gapped environments.

• Linux Administration: Provision, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers ensuring optimal performance, security, and resource management.
• CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring smooth deployment and scaling of microservices.
• Source Code Management & Version Control: Administer and manage GitLab for source code management, branching strategies, code reviews, and repository access control.
• Monitoring & Observability: Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and metrics systems utilizing Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
• Storage & Data Management: Administer and manage storage solutions, including databases (DB) and network file systems (NFS).
• Artifact & Package Management: Maintain and manage internal artifact repositories using Nexus Repository for secure software delivery.
• API Gateway Management: Configure and manage traffic routing and security using API Gateways (Kong experience is a strong plus).
• Air-Gapped Environment Operations: Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure, dependency mirrors, and pipelines in secure, isolated air-gapped environments without direct internet access.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or a related field.
• 45 years of total IT experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Linux/System Administration or Cloud Engineering.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration, Bash/Shell Scripting, and Python.
• Good knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, VPC, VPN, and security hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git/GitLab, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Nexus Repository, NFS, storage management, and artifact/dependency management.
• Experience working in secure or air-gapped environments is highly preferred.
• Kong API Gateway experience will be an added advantage.
