Closure Systems Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Closure Systems Design Engineers to join our automotive engineering team in Bangalore. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and release of vehicle closure systems including Door Modules, Latches & Handles, Hinges, Fuel Flap Systems, Hood Systems, Drives, and Camera Actuators.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of automotive closure systems and mechanisms.
• Create concept proposals, packaging studies, and interference checks.
• Perform kinematic studies and engineering calculations.
• Support prototype development and product validation activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Simulation, Manufacturing, Vehicle Integration, and Testing.
• Drive VA/VE initiatives for cost and weight optimization.
• Manage engineering changes and product releases.
• Collaborate with suppliers for product development and issue resolution.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within quality, cost, and timeline targets.

Required Skills

• Experience in Automotive Closure Systems design.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Door Modules
• Fuel Flap Systems
• Hood Systems
• Latches & Handles
• Hinges
• Actuators / Drives
• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX.
• Experience with Teamcenter/PDM systems.
• Knowledge of Packaging Studies and Interference Analysis.
• Understanding of Kinematic Studies and Mechanical Design Calculations.
• Exposure to Change Management processes.
