About the role We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Full Stack Developer to design, build and enhance scalable SAP solutions across ERP, supply chain and warehouse processes. The role combines modern S/4HANA backend development, Fiori/UI5 application delivery and technical delivery for a Decentralised SAP EWM landscape. You will work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, integration teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners to translate requirements into clean-core compliant, reliable and user-friendly solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms in SAP S/4HANA.
- Build solutions using OO ABAP, CDS views and annotations, RAP, AMDP, OData services, APIs, BRF+ and approved extensibility approaches.
- Develop responsive SAP Fiori/UI5 and Fiori Elements applications using UI5 annotations, smart controls and MVC architecture.
- Integrate SAP and non-SAP applications using OData, RFC, SOAP, REST APIs, IDocs and middleware technologies.
- Provide technical leadership for SAP EWM ABAP developments, enhancements, interfaces and integrations within a Decentralised EWM landscape.
- Develop and enhance EWM RF transactions and the RF framework, PPF actions, condition techniques and warehouse monitor functionality.
- Lead technical developments for inbound and outbound delivery interfaces, warehouse orders and tasks, handling units, shipping and receiving, putaway, picking and stock-related integrations.
- Analyse and resolve complex technical issues across SAP EWM, S/4HANA, middleware and integration layers.
- Apply SAP clean-core principles by prioritising standard functionality, released APIs and appropriate in-app or side-by-side extensibility.
- Prepare technical specifications, conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, performance tuning and maintain development documentation.
- Collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders, mentor developers and contribute to continuous improvement of standards and delivery practices.
Required skills and experience
- Minimum 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including strong OO ABAP and RICEF delivery experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS views, RAP, AMDP, OData, enhancement frameworks, BAdIs/user exits, IDOCS, REST APIs, and Adobe Forms or Smart Forms.
- Strong SAP Fiori/UI5 knowledge, including Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML views, jQuery and MVC architecture.
- Hands-on SAP EWM technical development experience, preferably with Decentralised EWM and S/4HANA integration.
- Good technical and process understanding of inbound, outbound, warehouse tasks/orders, handling units, RF, PPF, warehouse monitor, replenishment, putaway, picking, shipping/receiving and stock processes.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting interfaces across S/4HANA, EWM, middleware, automation or third-party warehouse systems.
- Good debugging and performance analysis skills using Eclipse ADT and standard SAP tools.
- Experience in at least two end-to-end S/4HANA implementations or ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into secure, scalable and supportable technical solutions.
Preferred skills
- Exposure to SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Event Mesh, SAP Build or side-by-side extension patterns.
- Experience with warehouse automation, material handling equipment or third-party logistics integrations.
- SAP certification in ABAP for SAP HANA, RAP and/or SAP Fiori/UI5.
