Civil Quantity Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs.
• Estimate project costs for materials, labor, plant, and equipment.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications.
• Verify subcontractor and client bills.
• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills and final bills.
• Measure executed work at site and certify quantities.
• Track project costs and prepare cost reports.
• Monitor material consumption and identify cost variances.
• Prepare rate analysis for extra and non-BOQ items.
• Evaluate variation orders and change requests.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, site execution, and finance teams.
• Maintain records of measurements, invoices, and payment certificates.
• Review contracts and ensure compliance with commercial terms.
• Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and cost estimation.
