Civil Quantity Survey or Billing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Blueprint Reading and Drafting Ability: Must be able to accurately interpret architectural, structural, or product design blueprints and specifications.

• Quantity Takeoff: Able to accurately calculate the design quantities of earthwork, concrete, reinforcement, finishing materials, or raw materials, and to estimate reasonable losses during construction.
• Estimation Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM (such as Revit, CostX), PlanSwift, and essential advanced Excel formulas and data statistics.
• Market Inquiry and Price Collection: Able to inquire about, negotiate, and calculate costs with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and wages.

Preferred candidate profile

Relevant Academic Degree: Typically requires a degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or interior design; manufacturing industries tend to prefer degrees in engineering, mechanical engineering, or accounting.
