Civil Engineer

Role & responsibilities
Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and commercial proposals for EPC civil projects, ensuring competitive pricing and proper cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and rate analysis for EPC civil works.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor, transportation, and other project costs.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers for EPC tenders.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare comparative statements and negotiate rates to achieve cost-effective pricing.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Project, Planning, and Site teams for accurate costing.
• Maintain updated material and labour rate databases.
• Analyze project costs and support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Identify cost variations, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Prepare cost sheets, MIS reports, and tender/commercial documentation.
• Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, client requirements, and company standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in civil estimation/costing, preferably in EPC/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity surveying, rate analysis, and tender estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
