Civil Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute day-to-day civil maintenance and construction activities across the CHP.
• Inspect and monitor the condition of RCC structures, foundations, conveyor galleries, transfer towers, crusher houses, buildings and other plant structures.
• Identify cracks, settlement, corrosion-related deterioration, structural damage, water seepage and other civil defects and recommend corrective measures.
• Execute civil repair and maintenance works including concrete repair, grouting, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and structural rehabilitation.
• Supervise construction and maintenance of foundations for mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate civil works associated with installation, modification and expansion of CHP equipment and facilities.
• Prepare/verify measurements, BOQs, estimates and material requirements for civil works.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documents and ensure execution as per approved designs.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and client representatives for civil works.
  

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
• 510 years of relevant experience in civil construction, maintenance or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in Coal Handling Plants, mining, power plants, cement, steel, industrial projects or other heavy-industry environments preferred.
• Experience in industrial civil maintenance and structural works will be an advantage.
