Job Title: Manager - Business Development (Civil)
Department: Business Development
Job Summary
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new business opportunities in Civil Infrastructure projects by driving the complete business development and tendering lifecycle. The role involves market intelligence, client engagement, bid management, strategic partnerships, and supporting project acquisition to achieve the organizations growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in Civil Infrastructure, Railway, Metro, Highway, Building, Industrial, and EPC projects.
- Track tenders through government and private portals such as Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, NHAI, Metro Corporations, CPWD, PWD, and other agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, PMC organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate pre-bid activities including site visits, tender analysis, clarification requests, and bid strategy.
- Collaborate with estimation, engineering, finance, legal, and commercial teams to prepare competitive techno-commercial proposals.
- Manage the complete bid lifecycle from opportunity identification to bid submission and contract award.
- Identify and negotiate with JV/Consortium partners, subcontractors, and strategic alliances where required.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and prepare business intelligence reports for management.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with tender requirements, contractual obligations, and company policies.
- Achieve annual order booking, revenue, and business development targets.
Required Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8-15 years of experience in Business Development, Tendering, or Contracts within Civil Infrastructure or EPC companies.
- Proven experience in acquiring projects from Government and Private sector clients.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, EPC contracts, commercial negotiations, and project acquisition.
- Familiarity with GeM, CPP Portal, Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, NHAI, Metro, and State Government procurement portals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations.
Preferred Experience

- Experience in Railway Civil Works, Highways, Metro, Bridges, Buildings, or Industrial Infrastructure projects.
- Strong network with government authorities, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
- Knowledge of FIDIC, EPC, Item Rate, and Design-Build contracts.
- Experience in preparing pre-qualification documents and large-value bid submissions.
