Cinema Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the cinema, including box office, concessions, auditorium operations, housekeeping, and customer service.
• Ensure all movie shows start and finish on schedule and that operational standards are consistently maintained.
• Lead, motivate, train, and manage cinema staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage across all shifts.
• Monitor ticket sales, food & beverage sales, occupancy, revenue, and operating costs.
• Drive revenue through ticketing, food & beverage, promotions, memberships, and other commercial initiatives.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, escalations, and service recovery professionally.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, ambience, and presentation standards are maintained throughout the property.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, security, health & safety, licensing, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to ensure projectors, sound systems, HVAC, elevators, POS systems, and other equipment are functioning properly.
• Monitor cash handling, daily reconciliation, inventory, stock control, and loss prevention.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with film distributors and internal teams regarding movie schedules, show timings, content, and operational requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and business performance reports.
• Support marketing activities, promotional campaigns, premieres, events, and special screenings.
• Ensure company SOPs and brand standards are followed by all employees.
• Manage emergencies and incidents effectively while ensuring the safety of guests and employees.
