Chief Technology Officer

Technology Strategy & Leadership

* Define and execute the company's overall technology vision, roadmap, and long-term technology strategy.

* Align technology initiatives with business objectives, product strategy, and organizational goals.

* Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

* Establish technology standards, engineering principles, and best practices across the organization.

* Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement of technology capabilities.

Engineering & Product Development

* Provide strategic and technical leadership across software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, data, and related technology functions.

* Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable software products and platforms.

* Ensure engineering teams consistently deliver high-quality products within agreed timelines and business priorities.

* Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, development standards, and delivery processes.

* Promote modern software development methodologies, automation, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.

Architecture, Scalability & Performance

* Own the overall technology architecture and ensure systems are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective.

* Review and approve critical architectural decisions and technology choices.

* Identify and address technical debt, system bottlenecks, performance issues, and scalability challenges.

* Ensure technology infrastructure can support business growth and increasing user demand.

Security, Risk & Compliance

* Establish and maintain robust information security, data protection, and technology risk management practices.

* Ensure appropriate security controls are embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

* Identify potential technology risks and develop mitigation strategies.

* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Team Building & People Leadership

* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology leadership team.

* Develop a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

* Identify organizational capability gaps and drive effective hiring, succession planning, and talent development.

* Partner with HR to attract, develop, and retain top technology talent.

* Establish career development and technical growth frameworks for engineering teams.

Business & Stakeholder Management

* Work closely with the CEO, business leaders, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology strategies.

* Communicate complex technical concepts and risks clearly to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.

* Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, investment decisions, and technology-related business initiatives.

* Manage technology budgets and optimize technology investments based on business priorities and ROI.

* Develop and maintain relationships with technology partners, vendors, and strategic stakeholders when required.
