Chief Risk Officer

Roles and Responsibilities :

End-to-end credit risk strategy and scorecard development (application, behavioural, and collections) using bureau + alternate data 

• Risk policy, underwriting rules, limit strategy, pricing, and portfolio management 

• Partnership risk structures including FLDG, co-lending, and partner-level scorecards

• Full credit lifecycle — from origination through collections and recovery analytics

• Building and leading the risk organisation (underwriting, fraud, and related teams) 

• Close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance

Job Requirements :

• 8-18 years of experience in banking or finance industry with a focus on credit risk analysis.
• Strong understanding of digital lending platforms, including origination systems and servicing tools.
• Proven track record in developing comprehensive credit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• We are looking for a proven risk leader from a digital-first near-prime or unsecured lending environment who has: 
•  Personally built and iterated credit scorecards and risk strategy (not just inherited frameworks) 
• Led or significantly contributed to a sub-prime to near-prime transition at scale
•  Demonstrated ability to manage credit losses in the 3–5% range while maintaining healthy approval rates 
•  Experience optimising risk-reward on unsecured books in the sub-36% APR band 
• Strong fluency with bank/NBFC partnership structures (FLDG / co-lending) 
• Comfort with modern data stacks, alternate data, and AI/ML-based decisionin
