ABOUT TEIŌ

teiō is an AI transformation company. We help mid-market enterprises in the US lead the AI shift, and we do it by building. We ship production systems that work from day one. Our engineers embed directly inside client teams to learn their systems and their business, then build the things that move it.
teiō was founded by Tarush Aggarwal. Tarush was one of the first data engineers at Salesforce and has spent his career in data. He was a founding expert at the International Institute for Analytics and a columnist at The Data Scientist, one of the first print data magazines. He founded and ran the data platform company 5X as its CEO. With teiō, he is focused on what comes next: the AI-native systems that get built once the data foundations are in place.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founder and own the company's hardest problems end to end. You are the person who turns priorities into execution. Whatever is most important and least owned, you pick it up and make it happen.
This is a high-trust, high-range role. One week you are building the hiring funnel, the next you are standing up a new process, the next you are deep in the numbers the founder needs to make a call. You will not have a fixed lane. You will have the company's priorities and the autonomy to go solve them.
teiō is AI-native, and so is this role. We don't want a coordinator who lives in meetings and docs. We want someone who builds: the automation, the dashboard, the analysis, the system, with AI doing the heavy lifting. Builders, not advisors, applies inside the company too.
The three things that matter most for this role, more than any specific background:

Proactive. You don't wait for permission. You find what needs doing and you do it.

Builder, AI-native. You don't just coordinate work, you build it. Automations, dashboards, analyses, internal tools, with AI as your lever.

High judgment. You make good calls with incomplete information, and you earn the trust to act on the founder's behalf.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
A few things that could be on your plate:

Hiring is the bottleneck. You own the AI-first hiring funnel end to end, from sourcing to the automated project-review flow, and you make it run.

The founder needs a decision. You pull the data, build the analysis, and bring a recommendation, not just a summary.

A new process or market needs standing up. You take it from zero to running, then automate it or hand it off.

The operating cadence needs to work. All-hands, metrics, the leaderboard, goals. You run the rhythm that keeps the company moving.
Across all of it, you will:

Turn the founder's priorities into owned, finished work. Nothing falls through the cracks because you are watching it.

Build internal tools and automations so the company runs leaner, with AI wherever it gives leverage.

Get into the numbers. Pull the data, build the view, and make the call clear.

Communicate up, down, and out, across the internal team, customers, partners, and candidates.

Spot what is about to break before it breaks, and fix it.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A track record of owning hard, ambiguous things and finishing them. Operating, founding, consulting, or chief-of-staff experience all count.

You are AI-native. You use AI every day to build, analyze, and move faster, and you have real opinions about where it helps and where it falls short.

You can build. Comfortable enough with data and tooling to ship an automation, a dashboard, or a working internal tool without waiting on an engineer. SQL and Python, or no-code and AI tooling, whatever gets it done.

Strong judgment and discretion. You will see everything, and the founder needs to trust you with it.

Range and clear communication. You move between a customer call, a hiring problem, and a finance question in the same day without dropping quality.

You get things done with minimal supervision. You unblock yourself and you treat the company's outcome as your own.
HOW WE PAY
You get a fixed base salary. Beyond that, a discretionary quarterly bonus tied to your personal performance and the company's. Do great work while the company wins, and you share in it.
We are radically transparent about performance. Everyone can see how the company and the team are doing, and you will help run that.
