Commodity Trading & Business Development Head

We are looking for an experienced professional to help us build and develop a commodity trading business from the ground up, preferably in metals, but candidates with experience in other commodities will also be considered.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of domestic and international markets and be able to guide management on what to trade, where to source, whom to buy from, whom to sell to, pricing, margins, import/export opportunities and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide market intelligence and identify attractive commodities and trading opportunities.
• Identify and develop import and export opportunities across domestic and international markets.
• Develop and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, importers, exporters and distributors.
• Identify and develop a network of domestic and international buyers.
• Lead sourcing, price negotiation and supplier selection.
• Identify customers and generate sales opportunities.
• Manage transactions from sourcing through delivery, logistics, documentation and payment collection.
• Analyze market prices, demand, supply, margins and competition.
• Help establish and expand new commodity trading verticals.
• Build a reliable supplier and customer network for the business.

Preferred Experience: 512 years in chemical/commodity trading, import-export, distribution, sourcing, procurement or B2B industrial sales.

Candidates with an established supplier and buyer network, international trading experience, and proven experience in building trading businesses will be strongly preferred.

Compensation: Competitive fixed salary + performance-linked incentives/profit sharing, with travel and business-development expenses covered.
