Chief Manager - Tax professional

We are looking for a seasoned Tax professional with 7+ years of experience to lead the Bank tax function and advise on tax strategy and business decisions.

KEY AREAS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct and indirect tax matters
• Tax compliance, assessments and risk management- Handling of direct tax assessments, re-

assessments, and appellate proceedings

• Efficiently handling of current ongoing litigation in progress at various appellate levels
• Minimization of overall direct tax liability of the Company by appropriate application of the Direct Tax Laws and Regulation
• Ensure compliance and consistent GST positions across locations, identify tax saving options, functional role in IT projects relating to GST and standardize procedures for smooth functioning of business processes.
• Ensure up keeping of the historical assessment/ appeal trails and tax issues and application of the same to facilities future assessment and appeal matters of the Bank.
• Provide guidance for preparation of the tax details for audit and assessments, advance tax computation, preparation of annual returns and coaching to the subordinates on tax issues and day today workings, providing clarification on tax issues for audit and reporting
• Leading and developing the tax team
• Driving technology, automation and process improvements in tax
• Strong Communication & Coordination Skill

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of relevant tax experience
• CA with strong tax expertise
• Strong understanding of Indian direct and indirect tax
• Experience working with Banks & NBFC
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Big Four / leading professional services experience would be an advantage

TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL

1. Proficient in MS Excel & MS Powerpoint

2. Exposure to one or more ERP Systems /SAP

3. Exposure / compliance of Financial Sector.
