Chief Manager - Distribution Planning & Project Management

Role Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished distribution performance and process management professional to improve business quality, strengthen operational governance and lead high-impact efficiency enhancement projects. The role combines strategic thinking, data-led problem solving, cross-functional influence and disciplined execution.

Responsibilities:

Business Quality & Conversion:

• Improve Login-to-Conversion for Term and Non-Term products through leakage diagnosis, agent capability inputs and stronger conversion pathways.
• Improve conversion through qualification refinement, funnel tracking and timely escalation closure.
• Conduct deepdive diagnostic studies analyzing funnels, customer journeys, process steps, data patterns, and frontline feedback to identify root causes of leakage, delays, rework, or performance variability.
• Lead FR Call Centre for faster closure of FR, conversion improvement & minimizing business leakage.

Operational Governance:

• Lead comprehensive process reviews, including endtoend mapping, documentation, redesign, and identification of automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Strengthen Customer Ownership Policy increasing customer density through base enhancement and process streamlining for upsell /cross sell opportunities
• Manage process assurance, risk, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory norms, and organizational standards for department and related sales functions
• Oversee internal and external audits for the department, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure timely implementation of corrective actions,

Sales & Partner Connect:

• Facilitate regular engagement forumssuch as focus groups, listening sessions, or surveysto gather frontline insights, understand operational challenges, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Document and replicate best practices from successful sales initiatives to drive uniform adoption and improved performance across different sales units or partner ecosystems.

Efficiency Enhancement Projects:

• Lead crossfunctional problemsolving initiatives by collaborating with Sales, Operations, Product, Finance, Technology, and Quality teams to address systemic issues and unlock efficiency gains.
• Drive value creation by improving conversion efficiency, lowering operational leakage, enhancing partner/channel experience, and enabling smarter decisionmaking through insights and SOP standardization.

People & Capability:

• Drive year-on-year improvement in employee satisfaction through feedback loops and process enhancements.
• Lead distribution capability-building, training design and completion tracking.
• Managing a team of 3 to 4 members.

Qualification:

• Graduate or postgraduate qualification with 5-12 years of experience in Distribution, Business Quality, Process Excellence or managing efficiency enhancement projects.
• Experience in BFSI distribution across Agency, Bancassurance, Direct or partner-led models.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-functional programs.
• Strong understanding of Life Insurance processes and sales functions.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and execution discipline.
