Chief Financial Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys business goals and objectives.
• Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to optimize financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and profitability enhancement within the manufacturing process.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the companys performance and make recommendations to the CEO/Board.
• Oversee financial modelling, cash flow management, and profitability analysis.
• Monitor financial risks related to the companys operations, including currency fluctuations, raw material costs, and global market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
• Oversee audits, tax filings, and reporting processes to ensure the company meets regulatory requirements.
• Manage the companys cash flow, ensuring liquidity to support ongoing operations and capital expenditures.
• Develop strategies to optimize working capital, especially with respect to managing raw material procurement, production, and inventory management.
• Negotiate and manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing options.

Preferred candidate profile

At least 15 years of experience in Senior Finance Leadership role, with significant experience in the listed manufacturing sector (preferably in jute / textiles or similar industries).

• Strong leadership & team building abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of financial management, reporting, and accounting principles.
• Strong understanding of cost management, supply chain finance, and capital expenditure planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.
