Chief Financial Officer

Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Experience:10 - 15 years in Finance Leadership, preferably in Retail, Jewellery Retail, or Multi-Store Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial planning, reporting, compliance, and business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to retail and jewellery business operations, multi-branch financial management, inventory controls, taxation, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
  
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and Board.
  
• Support business expansion, profitability improvement, and long-term growth plans.
  
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  

Financial Management & Control

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and MIS preparation.
  
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.
  
• Implement strong internal controls and risk management practices.
  

Retail or Jewellery Business Finance

• Monitor financial performance of retail stores and branches.
  
• Analyze store-wise profitability, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency.
  
• Ensure effective control over gold inventory, stock valuation, and loss prevention.
  
• Drive financial discipline across retail operations.
  

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, and other regulatory provisions.
  
• Coordinate audits, assessments, and financial reviews.
  
• Liaise with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and government authorities.
  

Banking & Fund Raising

• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and working capital requirements.
  
• Support fundraising, loan negotiations, and investment planning.
  
• Monitor financial risks and optimize capital structure.
  

Team Management

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
  
• Establish performance metrics and ensure continuous team development.
  
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Business Heads for organizational success.
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Retail and Jewellery Finance.
  
• Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  
• Experience in GST, Taxation, Audits, and Regulatory Compliance.
  
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Cost Controls.
  
• Advanced Excel, ERP, and Financial Reporting Systems proficiency.
  
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic decision-making abilities.
  
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  

Qualification & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
  
• 10 - 15 years of post-qualification experience.
  
• Proven experience in Retail, Retail Stores, Jewellery Retail, or similar consumer-facing businesses preferred.
  
• Experience managing multi-location financial operations is highly desirable.
