Chief Digital Officer (CDO)

Purpose/Objective

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will lead the digital transformation agenda across the RMRW business, driving technology-enabled innovation, operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and digital adoption across Roads, Metro, Ropeways, and Water verticals.
The role is responsible for defining and executing the organization's digital strategy, leveraging emerging technologies to improve project delivery, enhance customer experience, optimize business processes, and create sustainable competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Digital Strategy & Transformation - Define and implement the digital transformation roadmap aligned with RMRW's business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to digitize core business processes across project execution, operations, maintenance, and corporate functions.
- Drive enterprise-wide adoption of digital technologies and innovation programs.
Technology Leadership - Lead IT and digital initiatives, ensuring alignment between technology investments and business priorities.
- Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies including AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Digital Twin, GIS, Cloud Computing, and Advanced Analytics.
- Establish technology governance, architecture standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Data & Analytics - Create a data-driven culture by developing enterprise analytics and reporting frameworks.
- Implement Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and executive dashboards.
- Leverage predictive analytics for project planning, asset management, risk assessment, and operational optimization.
Digital Projects & Innovation - Sponsor and govern digital transformation projects across all RMRW verticals.
- Drive automation initiatives through workflow digitization and intelligent process automation.
- Establish innovation labs, pilot programs, and technology partnerships.
Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with Business Heads, Functional Leaders, and Project Teams to identify transformation opportunities.
- Manage relationships with technology partners, consultants, and digital solution providers.
- Present digital transformation progress and value realization to senior leadership.
Cybersecurity & Governance - Ensure robust cybersecurity controls and compliance with organizational standards.
- Develop policies related to data governance, privacy, and digital risk management.
- Establish digital governance mechanisms and KPI monitoring frameworks.
Capability Building - Develop digital competency frameworks and learning programs.
- Build high-performing digital, analytics, and technology teams.
- Promote digital-first thinking across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - B.
E.
/B.
Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
- MBA / PGDM in Strategy, Technology Management, or Digital Business preferred.
- Certifications in Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Project Management, or Digital Transformation will be an added advantage.
Experience - 18-22 years of relevant experience in Digital Transformation, IT Leadership, Enterprise Technology, or Innovation Management.
