Chemistry Post Graduate Teacher

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified, passionate, and experienced PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our reputed school. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, effective classroom management abilities, and a passion for teaching senior secondary students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry to Classes XI and XII as per the prescribed curriculum and school academic plan.
• Prepare and deliver structured, engaging, and concept-based lesson plans.
• Explain Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry concepts in a simple and effective manner.
• Prepare students for Board Examinations, school examinations, competitive examinations, assignments, and assessments.
• Conduct regular tests, quizzes, assignments, and practical assessments.
• Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Conduct and supervise Chemistry practicals and laboratory experiments while ensuring proper laboratory safety.
• Help students understand chemical reactions, equations, numerical problems, mechanisms, concepts, and practical applications.
• Provide additional academic support to students who require improvement.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Prepare worksheets, question papers, study materials, practical records, and revision resources.
• Track student attendance, academic performance, and overall progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school management for academic planning and student development.
• Participate in school events, academic activities, workshops, seminars, and extracurricular programs.
• Stay updated with modern teaching methodologies, curriculum changes, and educational practices.
• Maintain proper records related to teaching, assessments, practicals, and student performance.

Educational Qualifications

• M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. in relevant Chemistry specialization from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
• Candidates with relevant PGT Chemistry teaching experience will be preferred.
• Freshers with strong academic credentials may also be considered.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.
• Excellent command of Chemistry concepts and fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Effective classroom management.
• Ability to explain complex Chemistry concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong student engagement and mentoring skills.
• Ability to conduct Chemistry laboratory practicals safely.
• Basic knowledge of digital teaching tools and smart-class technology.

Preferred Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience as PGT Chemistry / Chemistry Teacher preferred.
• Experience teaching Classes XIXII and CBSE/State Board curriculum will be an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in Board Examination preparation will be preferred.
