Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

We are looking for a female Chef cum Housekeeper to manage daily cooking and household upkeep for a private residence. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in both professional cooking and household management, with a preference for candidates who have previously worked in star hotels, premium hospitality environments, or private households.

The candidate should be well-presented, reliable, organized, hygienic, and comfortable managing day-to-day household responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking & Kitchen Management

• Prepare fresh, hygienic and well-presented meals on a daily basis.
• Strong knowledge of North Indian and Continental cuisine is required.
• Plan daily menus based on household preferences and dietary requirements.
• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as required.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and food storage.
• Manage kitchen inventory and inform the family when groceries or supplies need replenishment.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper organization of kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen equipment, utensils, counters and storage areas.

Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the residence.
• Perform regular cleaning and dusting of rooms, living areas and other household spaces.
• Laundry, ironing and proper organization of clothes and household linen.
• Maintain bathrooms and other areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure beds, linen, towels and other household items are properly maintained and organized.
• Assist with general household organization and day-to-day domestic requirements.

General Household Support

• Follow the family's daily routines and household preferences.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding the family and household.
• Handle household responsibilities responsibly and independently.
• Coordinate grocery and household supply requirements with the family.
• Assist with occasional preparation for guests, family gatherings or special occasions.
• Carry out other reasonable household duties as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Gender: Female
• Preferred Age: 35 to 40 years
• Experience: Prior experience in professional kitchens, star hotels, hospitality, premium households or similar environments preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of North Indian cuisine.
• Good knowledge of Continental cuisine.
• Languages: Minimum working proficiency in English and Hindi.
• Education: Minimum Class 12 / Higher Secondary education.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and safe food handling.
• Strong housekeeping and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out routine household duties.
• Well-groomed, punctual, trustworthy and responsible.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and a polite, service-oriented attitude.
• Candidates with references from previous employers will be preferred.

Employment Details

Salary: 50,000 to 60,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability
