Chartered Accountant

Lochan & Co. is looking for a Qualified Chartered Accountant to join its Assurance Services team. The candidate will be involved in Audit & Assurance assignments, including external audits, internal audits, project/program audits, donor-funded assignments, risk assessment and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and manage Audit & Assurance assignments.
• Perform audit fieldwork, transaction testing and internal control assessments.
• Prepare and review audit working papers, reports and management letters.
• Identify financial, compliance and internal control risks.
• Coordinate with clients for information and timely completion of assignments.
• Supervise and review junior team members.
• Ensure compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
• Willingness to travel for assignments, as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Experience: 0 - 5 years PQE for Associate | 5+ years PQE for Senior Associate
• Experience in Audit, Assurance, Internal Audit or External Audit preferred.
• Good knowledge of Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards.
• Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• Experience in the development sector/NGO or donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.
