Chartered Accountant (Finance Controller)

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing; prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements as per Ind AS and the Companies Act 2013.
• Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and fixed asset accounting.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI LODR; deliver quarterly and annual disclosures to stock exchanges and coordinate with the Company Secretary for Board Meetings, AGMs and the annual report.
• Handle Income Tax, GST, TDS, TCS and Advance Tax compliance, tax assessments and transfer pricing; represent the company before tax authorities.
• Identify and utilize export incentives such as RoDTEP, Advance Authorization, Duty Drawback and EPCG.
• Liaise with statutory, tax and internal auditors for smooth audits; strengthen Internal Financial Controls and SOPs.
• Implement cost accounting for FRP/GRP manufacturing; monitor inventory valuation and analyse yield, labour and overhead variances to improve gross margins.
• Lead annual budgets, CapEx budgets, rolling forecasts and cash flow planning; prepare MIS and profitability reports for the MD, CFO and Board.
• Manage working capital, the cash conversion cycle and banking relationships (working capital limits, term loans, LCs, BGs, Export Packing Credit).
• Build and manage forex risk frameworks and forward hedging contracts for export revenues.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with active ICAI membership and 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial company; exposure to a listed entity and export operations is preferred.
• Strong command of Ind AS, Companies Act, GST and direct tax.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle and advanced MS Excel; comfort with AI-based tools for analysis and reporting is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of SEBI LODR, forex management and export incentive schemes.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills, high ethical standards and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
