- Operations: Drive charger uptime, charging schedules aligned to dispatch, preventive maintenance, incident response and energy cost optimisation.
- Business case: Build and track the financial model inputs, covering capex, tariff structure, total cost of ownership versus diesel, and payback by site.
- Internal stakeholders: Work with logistics and user teams to translate operating needs into charging plans, agree charging windows and service levels, and handle conflicts between operating and charging priorities.
- External stakeholders: Manage relationships with vehicle OEMs, charger OEMs, charge point operators (CPOs), discoms, EPC contractors and technology partners; lead vendor selection, negotiation and performance reviews.
- Team leadership: Set priorities and goals for the team, coach the members, and direct the digital platform and command-centre requirements.
- Governance: Ensure safety, regulatory and standards compliance, risk management and clear reporting to senior leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Working knowledge of grid connections, discom processes, tariffs and open-access power.
- Financial modelling and business-case skills.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Stakeholder management at senior level, both inside a large organisation and with external partners.
- Ability to link technical decisions to operating and commercial outcomes.
- Structured problem solving, vendor negotiation and programme management.
- Clear communication and the ability to build a small team from scratch.
SUCCESS MEASURES (INDICATIVE)
- Charger availability and uptime; charging cost per kWh and per km.
- Vehicles charged on schedule without disrupting dispatch.
- Delivery of charging capacity against the rollout plan, on time and on budget.
- Satisfaction of internal logistics users and quality of OEM/CPO partnerships.
