CFD Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated CFD Engineer with strong expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal analysis, and heat transfer simulations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and optimizing liquid cooling systems, cold plates, heat exchangers, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and other thermal management products.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations for thermal and fluid flow analysis using industry-standard software.
• Develop and validate simulation models for liquid cooling systems, heat exchangers, cold plates, manifolds, and electronic enclosures.
• Analyze airflow, liquid flow, pressure drop, temperature distribution, and heat transfer performance.
• Optimize product designs for thermal efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Work closely with Product Design, Mechanical, and R&D teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Conduct mesh generation, solver setup, convergence studies, and post-processing of simulation results.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and present simulation findings with actionable recommendations.
• Support prototype validation by correlating simulation results with experimental testing.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for product improvements.
• Stay updated with advancements in CFD methodologies, numerical modeling, and cooling technologies.

Requirements

• Experience in AI Data Center Cooling or High-Performance Computing (HPC) cooling applications.
• Knowledge of Cold Plate, CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit), Immersion Cooling, Direct-to-Chip Cooling, or Heat Exchanger design.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-8 years of experience in CFD and thermal simulation.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Heat Transfer
  • Thermodynamics
  • Turbulence Models
  • Multiphase Flow (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with CFD software such as:
  • ANSYS Fluent
  • STAR-CCM+
  • Simcenter FLOEFD
  • OpenFOAM
• Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Siemens NX.
• Experience in mesh generation and numerical solver techniques.
• Familiarity with liquid cooling systems, HVAC, electronics cooling, or heat exchanger design is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of scripting using Python or MATLAB is an added advantage.
