Summary

Lead the financial architecture of a growing, diversified business group, working directly with the Managing Director.

We are looking for a high-calibre finance leader who can combine deep manufacturing finance expertise with strategic business leadership. This is not an accounts head or controller role. It is a group-level leadership position in the Office of the Managing Director, for someone who sees finance as the way a business is steered.

About the group

We are a promoter-led, Pune-headquartered business group with a strong precision manufacturing core and a growing portfolio of businesses in technology, electronics, consumer and new ventures. Each business has different economics. Our next stage of growth needs one integrated view of cash, profitability, capital and risk across all of them.

The role

As Group Director Finance, Treasury & Business Performance, you will be the financial nerve centre of the group. You will give the MD clear, timely answers to the questions that matter: where we make money, where we lose it, where cash is stuck, where to invest and where to stop.

You will work alongside the existing finance leadership, bringing a group-wide strategic, treasury and transformation mandate.

What you will do

• Build a group-wide view of financial health and performance across every company, and give the MD an independent financial perspective on every major decision.
• Lead strategic banking relationships and negotiate working capital facilities, term loans, LCs, BGs and structured finance. Drive down cost of funds and strengthen liquidity.
• Own the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, long-range plan and scenario modelling.
• Design and run a group MIS built for decisions, from a daily cash report to monthly business reviews and board-level dashboards.
• Lead finance automation: ERP integration, banking integration, automated reconciliations, BI dashboards and AI-assisted analysis. You will define, select and drive adoption; you do not need to write code.
• Strengthen manufacturing finance: costing, BOM and product profitability, capacity and yield economics, inventory, capex evaluation and pricing support. You will spend time on the shop floor.
• Advise the leaders of each group company on cash, profitability, capital needs and business model, with the confidence to tell a growing business that it is getting financially weaker.
• Lead strategic finance: M&A, JVs, new business evaluation, valuation, due diligence, capital raising and restructuring.
• Build the next generation of finance talent in the group.

What you bring

• CA (preferred), ideally with an MBA in Finance or equivalent.
• 20+ years in finance, including senior leadership of a company or group of 500 crores+ scale.
• Substantial hands-on manufacturing finance experience, preferably in engineering, auto components, precision, electrical/electronics, capital goods or multi-plant manufacturing.
• Proven track record of negotiating with multiple banks and managing large-scale borrowing.
• Experience building MIS and leading finance systems or automation projects.
• Experience working directly with promoters, MDs and boards.
• Excellent English and fluent Hindi. Marathi is a strong advantage.
• Based in Pune or willing to relocate permanently.
