Role Overview

The CC Incharge will be responsible for managing day-to-day collection centre operations, including the receipt of fresh vegetable produce from contract farmers, cleaning, sorting, grading, storage, and dispatch to customers.

The role involves coordinating with the Sales and Planning teams, managing manpower and logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, and monitoring daily operational performance. The incumbent will also work towards improving produce quality, traceability, serviceability, and overall operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collection Centre Operations: Manage daily collection centre and distribution activities, including produce receipt, cleaning, sorting, grading, storage, packing, and dispatch.
• Manpower and Logistics Planning: Plan workforce requirements, allocate daily responsibilities, and coordinate transportation and dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct stock reconciliation, monitor stock movement, and plan storage requirements to minimise wastage.
• Sales and Production Coordination: Work closely with the Sales and Planning teams to align harvesting schedules, produce availability, and customer demand.
• Quality Control and Traceability: Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout handling, grading, storage, and dispatch. Maintain proper traceability of produce from farmers to customers.
• Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve service levels, operational efficiency, produce quality, traceability, and process compliance.
• Farmer Coordination: Address quality-related concerns and grievances raised by contract farmers and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and safe produce-handling practices at the collection centre.
• Daily Performance Monitoring: Track and report daily operational metrics, including produce received, quantity graded, dispatch volumes, wastage, quality rejections, and delivery performance.
• Team Management: Supervise collection centre staff, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to operational procedures and timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate or postgraduate in Agricultural Science or a relevant discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in collection centre management, distribution centres, warehouse operations, contract farming, or fresh produce supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of organic, regenerative, or pesticide-free farming practices will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in Hindi, and local language.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and working knowledge of ERP systems.
