Cathlab Incharge - Nursing

1. Clinical Oversight:

• Supervise and ensure high-quality patient care during catheterization procedures.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the Cath lab.
• Assist in all Cath lab related procedures as needed.

2. Staff Management:

• Manage the Cath lab nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Facilitate continuous education and professional development for staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
• Attend oncall duties whenever required

3. Administrative Duties:

• Develop and implement policies and protocols to enhance patient care and safety.
• Monitor and manage the Cath lab budget, including supplies, equipment, and staffing costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

4. Patient Care Coordination:

• Oversee the pre-procedure and post-procedure care of patients.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to plan and execute patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular audits and quality assessments to improve Cath lab services.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for quality improvement.
• Address and resolve any patient or staff concerns and complaints promptly.

6. Technical Expertise:

• Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all Cath lab equipment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Cath lab technology and procedures.
• Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during procedures.

7. Emergency Response:

• Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and complications during procedures.
• Ensure the team is trained and ready to respond to critical situations swiftly and effectively.

8. Interdepartmental Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments such as cardiology, radiology, and surgery to coordinate care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and optimize care strategies.
