Category or Buyer - Sr. Manager - FMCG

Category or Buyer - Sr. Manager in our Buying department for Kerala Region to lead efforts in sourcing, buying and leading a team of buyers in Kerala.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute category buying and assortment strategy for FMCG products.
  
• Lead vendor negotiations, commercial terms, and annual trade agreements with key FMCG brands.
  
• Manage pricing strategy, promotional planning, and margin optimization.
  
• Drive demand forecasting and replenishment planning to ensure high product availability.
  
• Work closely with supply chain, warehouse, and planning teams to optimize stock flow.
  
• Identify new brands, private label opportunities, and emerging product trends.
  
• Monitor category performance metrics including revenue, margin, inventory turns, and fill rate.
  
• Build strong partnerships with national brands, regional suppliers, and distributors.

Preferred candidates

• 7-12 years of experience in FMCG buying only, merchandising, or category management.
  
• Strong experience in replenishment planning and demand forecasting.
  
• Background in modern retail, e-commerce, or quick commerce.
  
• Proven experience in vendor negotiations and commercial planning.
  
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
